Economical Two-page Chemistry-free Metal CTP Solution
The Presstek Vector FL52 thermal platesetter and Freedom Pro chemistry-free plates offers the small format (52cm and under) printer a metal platemaking solution that provides higher productivity, a cleaner operation, and lower overall operating cost.
Its compact size and daylight operation allow this CTP system to fit into any production environment, eliminating the costs and special provisions required for safe-light and darkroom processing.
The Vector FL52 features an integrated plate washer, the Freedom Pro plate is inserted at the front of the Vector FL52, imaged and water-rinsed inside the unit before being discharged as a finished, press-ready plate. The Freedom Pro thermal metal plate is designed for run lengths up to 25,000 impressions.

Freedom Pro Chemistry-free Plates
After imaging, Presstek’s Freedom Pro plates are automatically cleaned with water in the Vector FL52's integrated plate washer. Freedom Pro plates require no baking, special cleaning fluids, or gumming, resulting in less waste material and a more environmentally friendly print shop. Freedom Pro plates are ideally suited for run lengths up to 25,000.
Freedom Pro plates deliver sharp, well-defined, highly repeatable images and are free from the inconsistencies inherent in conventional chemistry-based platemaking systems.
Exceptional On-press Performance
In addition to enhancing productivity in the prepress department, Vector FL52 CTP also improves productivity in the pressroom. Freedom Pro plates perform extremely well on press, delivering many of the familiar performance characteristics and stability of conventional aluminum plates. A unique surface structure on the plate results in exceptionally fast makeready, greater ink/water latitude and excellent durability. In addition, Freedom Pro plates accommodate a wide range of industry standard inks and fountain solutions with the added benefit of less pressroom chemistry consumption, as compared to conventional offset plates.
